Total overall number of fields in management screen

Hello,
I am playing on 30 day seasons and had to plant many many fields in different places of various shapes and sizes to meet the needs of my villagers (while looking at least a bit presentable).
However, that means that summing up my number of fields has become very difficult.

Id like to have the overall total displayed in the field management menu.
Example: if I have a 1x1 field and another 2x2 field, it is supposed to display the number 5 (1x1 = 1 field, 2x2=4 fields, both together are 5 fields).

If you want to make it really good, allow us to sum them up by name.

Example: I have 2 1x1 fields named "Oat / Rye" and 1 1x1 field named "cabbage", it would be great to categorize them and make a row where the "Oat / Rye" is summed up to 2.
The overall total would be 3.

Could you make a crude mock-up of what you mean?
The 'add new fields' menu does already tell us how many fields we have and how many 'squares' that takes (though it's maybe not the mostintuitive place to find the info in).

I want that info displayed on the management tab.

Also I want to know how many fields per name I have (or alternatively a way to group the fields)

Maybe this will give you a better picture about my intentions

I have no idea how many oat/rye fields I have

• you can click on the plant symbol at the top so that it sorts by that plant (though I agree it doesn't give you the total across all fields)
• you can rename fields, so that they are sorted by name and not field number 🙂

(just to be sure: I like your idea, but I'm looking for existing immediate 'solutions' to your problem 🙂 )
