for a new house i would say add one that is more toward eastern style, central placed stove/fireplace interior spit between 1-2 room (depending by the player choice) and having the verandah included from the start and if i want to be picky maybe make the fundation of this building to not be almost flush with the ground (have it raised to lets say 1-1,5 meter for a food pantry) giving a more "improtant" look to the building as for this home size i would make it to be around the size of the resourses storage with the above addons to diferenciate it
