I think it would be cool if completing a quest from one of your inhabitants would have some kind if effect to the village/villager
Things like the "House Renovations" quest actually repairing the villagers house or one of the hunters asking for a bow put's it into their hunting lodge
This also opens new avenues, things like a villager coming to you about a bandit camp nearby, destroying the camp makes the villagers feel safer thus they are happier, but not completing the quest in time could have the same effects as the thief seasonal events (some materials are stolen) or even a villager is murdered, both these things reducing the happiness because people don't like being stolen from or having their friends and family murdered
