Sorry if there the same suggestion, I read a few but I didn't get.

I have 2 suggestions:
1- When you are trying to put a building, could be an option has a 'guide' that help to you to put a building beside another. The problem is that from your perspective is hard to put a building in the right position.

2- From point 1, another option maybe is that with the hammer you could 'rotate' or 'move' the building to fix in the right position.

Yes, in my coop I’m always “forward, back, left a bit”

There's two potential ways to ease this problem; I also have the same issue. I'm all for medieval towns not looking like chessboard grids but when lining up fences, lamps, etc. it helps to have some sort of reference. So the way I see it, this issue could be alleviated by:

  1. Having an optional "snap" system, or
  2. A "vertical" bird's eye view paired to a hot key with the ability to place a structure while in this top down mode. In single player games I use Photo Mode almost obsessively to get my buildings and walls in just the right place, even if they're not being laid out in a grid. But Photo Mode isn't available in co-op which is why I suggest the "top down" view mode paired to a hot key.

Or even the option for both 1 and 2. Never hurts to have options.

For 1 this is our main snap thread https://discord.com/channels/1069629094871978074/1126982112067715162
It is very popular and might be worth a look for ppl here
As for the rest of this thread: we can use photo mode but that is cumbersome and has limited availability
I agree @woven echo with the need for a "guide system" of sorts -
Are you asking for a snapping to object system? Like one object snaps to another?
Cheers 😉

@teal briar hmm not sure about snapping meaning, but I have like 20 buildings and I'm looking that I have 3 of them in a row, but they are not in line or are in different angle. A picture to exemplify

Thanks for the explanation about snapping.

hmmm @bold oracle say a good idea with the "bird cam", I think.. when you are trying to set the building, the gameplay change to a air view where you see the village from top in 2D, and you can move and set the place of the building for example.

But well, I think that is a huge change.
