Current mechanic: Skinning an animal after reloading, or un-equipping the crossbow, will remove the bold when equipping the weapon again.
It would be cool to have the bolt persist in the crossbow once reloaded, regardless of weather you switch weapons or tools.

For convenience only, I can agree with this. It would be a decent time saver.
But realistically, not so much.

Personally i don't like that. Too easy to just take out loaded crossbow.

You could have multiple loaded crossbows equipped in different slots and have them readily available while hunting. While this seems pretty convenient it would make hunting bears etc. too easy.
