I realize this is a very tall order but I’m going to go for it!

Considering kings show up in the game, it would be great to see where they came from.

Maybe add a castle somewhere in the back horizon we can at least see it or perhaps add it on the map that has outside guard to keep us out until the king summons us for a quest. If we could see the execution area (attempting yo not ruin the main story endings) In the meantime, it would be great to see life happening there too as far as like maybe a queen; king’s heirs running around or whatever.

This would make the main story make even more sense if we can see the castle. Maybe add an area to the map to make it fit better within the landscape.

As long as we’re talking about kings and such it would be interesting if you could become a lord or count of the valley once you got to 100% approval with the king

It would be nice to be given, once the settlement has reached a certain size and your reputation with the king has achieved good status or better, that you are allowed to build guard posts, a keep tower, or a barracks within your town, the kingship would select able body people from your own town and place them into guard service (for maybe 2 years, just like pregnant women some men would then be gone for a time, still living in your village but unavailable for work) these guards would respond to your workers being attacked within range of your town, and whatever else comes in future.... I think my town can throw up a force of 40 men armed with bows and spears in a hurry.

This is the first thread i've found.
I found this topic has two camps.

One that wanna stay in the normal village and don't want kings and castles.

An the second don't wanna have just a big village, but more castle.

My additional suggestion is to put that Kings & Castles into a DLC. Those who want it, have to buy it. Then the devs make both camps happy heart

I would go along with the original post and the answers i see so far and implement it into the story of the valley and the oxbow. I would go a little further though.

How about having 2-3 places on the two maps with ruins of old castles that got into the war that is mentioned in the main story of the game or are just there. Maybe it could just be some places to build freely. Anyway when gaining reputation you first get the job of Unigost (maybe after he dies or... yeah) and become the "manager" of the area and its villages.
Once you gain more reputation the king sents for you to prove yourself and rebuild one of those early mentioned castles. As a reward he knights you and makes you the full owner of the land along with the castle.

With this i would also add swords and armor. Horses are already there so we don't need to suggest them anymore.

Maybe a new map with one of the villages being the castle with village under it and it would be like the place to pay taxes and the center of the map. It would be nice having a map like this

#

Maybe it could have a big maket that would be open only in one season and it would have everything. Livestock, tools, clothing and all this stuff but it would be only 1-2 days in the year

Like a capital or something like that would be lit.

Where u see guards, and if you got enough reputation u can interactuate with the king.

I hope they hear is and try to implement any kind of interaction with the king.

If possible, a royal army could also be added, with which we could interact at the castle, and we could see them in convoys around the kingdom or occasionally fighting against rebels. This would add more realism to the game, as in that era, kings were very authoritarian and needed an army to maintain their authority. These are real examples of armor that they could wear. Aquí tienes la traducción al inglés:

In my opinion, to avoid bothering other players, it should be a DLC, as the other recommendation.

The king wouldn't care for a small hamlet like ours and not for a peasant (however rich she/he might be). And how do you come to think, we have no castellan in oxbow?

#

We have one. I think, he is called Marogod or Marogol or something like that Mirogod, and you get introduced to him in one of the first quests in oxbow. He lives in this house on stilts in Piastovia.
