If you generate v4 from scratch (using the same prompt) it could be overall better than when remastering, though, obviously, it would not sound the same.

Yeah, laziness is the uncle of all invnetion 😉 I found a decent one that uses end points for all the LLM, TTS, and STT stuff. Just bashing in what will work until me and a buddy can reverse engineer and optimize. Mostly just trying to get it to work with multigpu and what not. End goal would be feeding something like SillyTavern.

Maybe one day Suno will have an API to talk to so we can just have it render entire fantasy scenes with voiced characters and ambient music .. but that will ahve to wait for another day. work tomorrow.. :/

bark has a lot of latency, and doesn't stream even though it theoretically could if someone implemented it, so not great for real time use where you need to start the response immediatley. also because bark is better with more context (longer prompts than one sentence, as much as you can jam in 14 seconds really is best)

It might pick it up on your output

Will be affected by the EQ in the recording

So it will sound different than source to anyone you show it to

This is specifically for audio you're recording from your outputs

Your microphone isn't affected

You'll notice it yourself when you play the recording

They've also had replace section and inpainting for months

Thankfully a good website is the only thing they have

Simpler tool that is tuned to try to make bangers but less willing to do unconventional things

Vs more complex tool that is easy to bend to perhaps do more unusual things whilst not defaulting to making bangers on every button press

It's not the site, it's the sound quality. Suno sounds always crappy, with a weird low noise that depending on the style of the song sounds more or less, but makes it unbearable when you start noticing it. But the composing quality is far better than udio. In Udio you require lots and lots of attempts to get something good

Try as I might, v4 just butchers my og track in every remaster. I've tried remastering the remasters, changing lyrics, typing phonetically, covering, but nothing works for this one. Some of my others came through like clean magic. A lot of my electronic/dance/rap stuff ended up flattened, had sounds removed, temp changes, new awful vocalist, or other things.

Hehe... I have not managed to get one good song in 4.0. The music has a rattling noise in the background especially if you use orchestral styles. And the text interpretation of the singer is pure. In older versions I have a powerful straight singing, now I have embellishment and the power of the words went to facile blabla. It is like changing a powerful straight riverdance to a Michael Jackson stumbling (they call that dancing - haha) around, grabbing his chrotch and squeaking.

For me 4.0 is a complete fail.

Hi, i Just found out that with Suno you can also convert your acting voice in to another voice actor, i know Suno its not made for this, but ive been able tò get Better and Natural voice convertion with Suno than Eleven labs, Just record your voice then click on cover, then write the text on lyrics and dont write anything in style of music or try to write Just the kind of voice, and in exclude Styles type"Music"sometimes It works and sometimes it doesnt 🙌

Unfortunately I think a lot of Suno users just want conventional billboard top 100 sounding songs so they’ve been pushing their models in that direction. It comes at the expense of freedom, creativity, and unique results. Give us the freedom to let the model get weird and go wild.

If so, try repeating the genre for more weight, that usually helps resolves that issue

I don’t think they’re referring to a specific genre. In general v3.5 and v4 sound more commercialized. Just typical stuff you’d hear on the radio. And it’s much harder to steer the model away from doing that due to the built in bias of trying to make everything sound like a popular radio song. And I’m sure that’s what many people want, but there should be tools for the people who want to get more unique results which sound less commercialized.

Hah, devs documenting notes... I am one of those guilty of the bad habit in the past of not doing that when I program aside from small comments.

No idea of the Suno team but my own excuse for my program was:

• "It is obvious, no need to spend time doing a fill documentation" (overestimating average users intelligence and capabilities)
• "This is just a temp. hotfix, no need to record" (became like a critical foundation piece)
• "I will remember this, it only has two arguments" (hard to remember what you did years ago)

And, well, you get the idea. AI complicates matter because what it learned (and how) differs between models and, most of the time, we do not know what it knows without trial and errors

Some of the old metatags that used to work in Chirp v1 and v2 no longer worked from 3.0+. Conversely, there were some tags that persisted throughout (and I think now mentioned at help.suno.com? Unsure)

But mostly it comes down to time and effort/laziness I suppose. Documentation, despite how important it is, often gets sidelined for more immediate concerns and the eventual backlog becomes too much effort to do, or so I am assuming that is the case here

Though I would propose as an alternative to have a “tips and tricks” section on the server organized into posts (Midjourney has something like this). They devs know a lot, but they get surprised by what the AI can do as often as regular users I think. For example even [chorus] and [verse] in Suno v0 was a found feature, and only in later versions was it an "official" feature they made work intentionally.

Yeah I’m not trying to come off as a backseat developer or anything. I’m aware it’s extremely complex and a lot of it is still out of their control, but through their own rigorous testing I’m sure they’ve made some discoveries on quirks which would just be nice to have compiled even if it isn’t some type of “guaranteed” method.

The only other genAI I really use is Midjourney so naturally I end up using them as a frame of reference when it comes to documenting how everything works, they have a large amount of documentation, tips, etc.

I'm not sure why Suno doesn't have an "official" list of tags that are supposed to work. But if you check their sample songs on the Explore page it's not hard to find official samples where the style prompt did not produce the correct style. So it could just be that a style word being "official" doesn't mean it will work for sure, you have to test it anyway.
