Hi @marble nimbus. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

This specific error message (billing_cycle_anchor cannot be later than next natural billing date) is not documented in the Trigger.dev docs, so I can’t say for certain what caused it or how to fix it from the available information. The knowledge sources only describe plan limits (Free, Hobby, Pro) and related quotas (concurrency, schedules, preview branches, alerts, team members, etc.), but don’t mention anything about billing_cycle_anchor or detailed billing error codes. [Limits]

To get this resolved:

  1. Contact the Trigger.dev team directly – billing and plan upgrades are explicitly handled via their support channels:

  2. When you contact them, include:

    • Your Trigger.dev account email
    • The plan you’re upgrading from/to (Free → Hobby)
    • A screenshot or exact text of the error
    • Whether you’re changing billing period (e.g. monthly → yearly) or proration settings

I’m sorry I can’t give a more specific fix here; the docs simply don’t include details about this billing validation error.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
