Hello community. I have a question about whether there is compatibility or ease of integrating the trigger with Kubernetes, can you answer this question? Is it possible? If yes, are there steps to follow?

Hi @hallow rampart. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

Yes, it is possible to integrate Trigger.dev with Kubernetes. Trigger.dev provides documentation for self-hosting their platform on Kubernetes.

According to the Kubernetes self-hosting guide, there are steps you can follow to deploy Trigger.dev on a Kubernetes cluster. The guide outlines the process, which includes:

  1. Setting up a Kubernetes cluster
  2. Configuring environment variables
  3. Deploying the necessary Kubernetes resources

However, it's important to note that this documentation appears to be for version 2 of Trigger.dev. The project has recently released version 3, which has different deployment methods.

For the most up-to-date information on self-hosting Trigger.dev, including with Docker (which can be used with Kubernetes), you should refer to the Open Source Self-Hosting guide. This guide provides more current information on deploying Trigger.dev in various environments.

If you're looking to integrate Trigger.dev with an existing Kubernetes setup, the exact process may depend on your specific requirements and infrastructure. It would be best to consult the latest documentation and potentially reach out to the Trigger.dev community or support channels for the most current advice on Kubernetes integration.

Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

Where can I find the documentation for version 2 of trigger where it teaches you step by step how to use kubernetes?

Ignore this, you don't want to use v2. It's very different and deprecated as of Feb 1

#

@blazing talon can you figure out why Kapa suggested stuff from the v2 docs?

At least one person in #self-hosters using k8s to deploy Trigger.dev self-hosted.
