Yes. Export from the Subtitles editor (not the Transcripts export). ElevenLabs subtitles do not include speaker names/labels, and you can export them as SRT or VTT. By contrast, transcripts support speaker labels and can also be exported as SRT/VTT—if you export those, you’ll see the voice name. To omit names, switch to the Subtitles tab and export from there. (elevenlabs.io)

Note: In Productions, captions (SDH) include speaker identification by default, whereas subtitles do not. Choose subtitles if you don’t want names. (elevenlabs.io)

When exporting VTT subtitles from Audiobooks (under Studio tab) voice name labels are added. Going to Productions to export captions seems pointless when I can already export them from Audiobooks.

Short answer: If you want VTT without speaker/voice labels, export “Subtitles,” not “Transcripts,” and not from Studio.

Details

  • Subtitles vs Transcripts: ElevenLabs treats them differently. Transcripts can include speaker names; Subtitles do not. If you export VTT from a transcript, you’ll see labels. Exporting from the Subtitles editor removes them. (elevenlabs.io)
  • Where to export: Studio (including Audiobooks) documents audio/video export only; it doesn’t document exporting standalone caption files like VTT. Use Speech to Text > Subtitles to export SRT/VTT. (elevenlabs.io)
  • How to get clean VTT: Open your media in Speech to Text, switch to the Subtitles tab, then Export > VTT (labels are excluded by design). (elevenlabs.io)
  • Productions: Only needed if you want human-edited deliverables. By default, “captions” include speaker identification, while “subtitles” do not; exports are SRT. Request “subtitles” (not “captions”) if you don’t want speaker labels. (elevenlabs.io)

So, exporting VTT from Audiobooks/Studio isn’t the right path for label-free files. Use the Subtitles editor to export VTT without voice names. (elevenlabs.io)
