Below is the ElevenLabs-official checklist to fix failed outbound “Test call” attempts to Telnyx via Batch Calling.
Confirm the phone number and format
- In Batch Calling, ensure you select a phone number that was imported into ElevenLabs (Twilio or SIP trunk) and is assigned to the agent. The “Test call” uses that number’s outbound settings. Also make sure the number you imported matches the exact E.164 formatting (including leading +) you use when dialing; mismatches prevent routing. (elevenlabs.io)
Verify SIP trunk outbound target on the ElevenLabs side
- Phone Numbers > your SIP-trunked number > Outbound settings: the Address must be your Telnyx termination hostname (or IP) only, not a full SIP URI (no sip: prefix, no @, no number appended). Choose the correct transport (TCP or TLS) and set media encryption to match your provider. (elevenlabs.io)
Complete the Telnyx connection prerequisites
- In Telnyx, create an FQDN SIP connection, add FQDN sip.rtc.elevenlabs.io for authentication, set Inbound Destination Number Format to +E.164, set SIP Transport Protocol to TCP, select or create an Outbound Voice Profile, and assign your number to the connection. (elevenlabs.io)
Authentication configuration
- If Telnyx requires credentials, enter SIP digest username/password on the ElevenLabs number. If you leave credentials empty, you must use ACL/IP allowlisting on the provider side. (elevenlabs.io)
Network and media checks
- Allow SIP signaling to tcp/5060 (or tls/5061 if you use TLS). Ensure RTP (UDP media) is permitted; test with “Allowed/Disabled” media encryption to isolate SRTP issues. ElevenLabs SIP supports G.711 or G.722; make sure codecs are compatible. (elevenlabs.io)
Static-IP option (if you rely on IP allowlisting)
- Enterprise accounts can request the static endpoint (e.g., sip-static.rtc.elevenlabs.io) so you can allowlist a fixed /24. (elevenlabs.io)
Troubleshooting workflow
- Recheck configuration on both sides, confirm the outbound Address is resolvable, try toggling TCP vs TLS, test with/without digest auth, and review provider-side logs for why the INVITE was refused. (elevenlabs.io)
If you still see failures after these steps, please open a ticket with ElevenLabs Support and include recent call attempt timestamps and the Telnyx SIP logs so we can correlate on our side. (elevenlabs.io)
