#Can you add more than 3 voices on elevenlabs to use at a time? or is 3 limit and after you add 3 vo
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Short answer: 3 isn’t a permanent cap. On the Free plan you can keep up to 3 custom voices saved in My Voices at the same time. You can delete a saved voice to free a slot and add a different one, or upgrade to a plan with more simultaneous voice slots. (help.elevenlabs.io)
Per-plan custom voice slots:
- Free: 3
- Starter: 10
- Creator: 30
- Pro: 160
- Scale: 660
- Business: 660. (help.elevenlabs.io)
Notes:
- Deleting a voice is irreversible; if a voice has been removed from the Voice Library, you won’t be able to save it again later. Default and Legacy voices don’t consume custom voice slots. (help.elevenlabs.io)

How do i delete a voice?
Here’s how to delete a voice in ElevenLabs.
On the website (My Voices):
- Open My Voices, find the voice, click More actions (three dots) > Delete voice, then confirm. This action is irreversible. (help.elevenlabs.io)
- If the voice is shared in the Voice Library, first stop sharing it: More actions > Share voice > toggle off “Publish to the Voice Library.” If a notice period was set, you must wait for it to expire before you can delete the voice. (help.elevenlabs.io)
- Notes/limits: Default and Legacy voices can’t be deleted (they don’t consume custom voice slots). Unverified Professional Voice Clones can’t be deleted—contact Support. If you delete a saved Library voice that’s no longer shared, you won’t be able to save it again. (help.elevenlabs.io)
Via API:
- DELETE /v1/voices/:voice_id with your xi-api-key header. A successful deletion returns { "status": "ok" }. (elevenlabs.io)
- To find the voice_id, use My Voices > More actions > Copy voice ID, or list voices via the API. (help.elevenlabs.io)
Optional: remove only an audio sample (not the whole voice)
- DELETE /v1/voices/:voice_id/samples/:sample_id. (elevenlabs.io)

how do i access legacy voices
Here’s how to access Legacy voices:
-
In the web app (if you’ve used them before): open Voices > Default Voices, search by name, then enable “Show legacy voices.” You can also find them under Recently Used. To copy a Legacy voice ID: Voices > Default Voices > More actions (three dots) > Copy voice ID. (help.elevenlabs.io)
-
Via API: send a GET request to the List Voices endpoint with the show_legacy flag enabled; this returns Legacy voices for your account. See the List Voices reference for the endpoint. (help.elevenlabs.io)
Notes:
- Legacy voices are only visible to users who previously used them and will be removed after February 28, 2026. Existing Legacy voice IDs will automatically route to their replacement Default voices. (help.elevenlabs.io)

theres no legacy voice option here tho?
Two things to check:
- Where it is: In the web app go to Voices > Default tab, scroll to the very bottom, and click “Show legacy voices.” (help.elevenlabs.io)
- Why you may not see it: Legacy voices are only available to users who previously used them. They don’t appear in voice menus by default; eligible users can find them via Recently Used or by searching the name and enabling “Show legacy voices.” If you never used them on this account, they aren’t available and the option won’t appear. (help.elevenlabs.io)
Note: Legacy voices are scheduled for deprecation and removal on 28 February 2026. (help.elevenlabs.io)

So i used the classic adam voice before it became " Adam - Dominante, Firm"
Short answer: The “classic Adam” isn’t a separate, selectable legacy voice. Adam is a current Default voice. ElevenLabs does update Default voices over time, so audio can sound different even though the voice name/ID persists; there’s no rollback to older versions documented. If what you previously used was a Legacy voice that now routes to Adam (e.g., Antoni or Arnold), you can still access that Legacy entry until February 28, 2026.
What you can do now:
- Check for Legacy entries you used: go to Voices > Default Voices, scroll to the bottom, click “Show legacy voices,” or look under “Recently Used.” Legacy items remain visible only to users who previously used them and will be removed after Feb 28, 2026. (help.elevenlabs.io)
- Understand routing/changes: previously offered voices may be updated; existing code keeps working but output may differ. Several Legacy voices (including Antoni and Arnold) automatically route to Adam. There is no documented way to revert to an older Adam build. (help.elevenlabs.io)
- If you need the earlier timbre: ElevenLabs suggests recreating it via Voice Design, voice remixing best practices, Instant/Professional Voice Clone, or searching the Voice Library for a close match. (help.elevenlabs.io)
If you don’t see “Show legacy voices,” confirm you’re in Voices > Default Voices and scroll to the bottom; that’s where the toggle appears. (help.elevenlabs.io)
