Hi Darlene,
To separate your content into individual chapters without using additional credits, you can manually copy and paste the text into new chapters. Here's a step-by-step guide:
-
Copy the Text: Select the portion of the text you want to move to a new chapter and copy it.
-
Create a New Chapter: In your project, create a new chapter where you want to paste the copied text.
-
Paste the Text: Paste the text into the new chapter. To avoid carrying over any unwanted formatting or metadata, use
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Vto paste without formatting. -
Repeat: Repeat these steps for each section of your content that you want to move to a separate chapter.
This method allows you to organize your content without incurring additional credit charges. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out!
I did that but I was asking me for credits
To separate your content into chapters without using additional credits, you can regenerate specific paragraphs by selecting them and clicking the regenerate button. This process allows you to adjust the content without incurring extra charges, as long as no changes have been made to the text.
Remember, only the full chapter is saved after conversion, so you'll need to download individual paragraphs separately from the toolbar after playing them. If you encounter any issues, you can use the convert button, which will not incur additional charges if no modifications have been made.
while it is regenerating, it is taking away credits, this did not work
When you regenerate text-to-speech, credits are deducted based on the number of characters processed. Unfortunately, separating content into different chapters will require regenerating the audio, which will consume credits.
To manage your credits more effectively, consider using minimal text when testing your voice model. Additionally, you can take advantage of free regenerations if the prompt, voice, and model remain unchanged, and the first generation was conducted within the last 2 hours without refreshing the page.

this site is a rip off. you provide no support and your customer have to figure things out on their own, then you penalize them
I'm sorry to hear about your frustration. It sounds like you're having trouble with the credit system while trying to separate your chapters. Unfortunately, the use of credits is part of the subscription model, and I understand how this can be challenging, especially for beginners.

Shouldn't really be necessary to separate the content out into chapters if you already converted it all within Chapter 1.
If you do want separate audio files for each chapter you could download the complete audio file and split the downloaded audio into different chapter files in an audio editor such as Audacity (free).
