Hey! Yes! We're planning to make it very easy to add pauses inside paragraphs and make them work a bit better.
I'm curious though what's your use case, why are you looking for consistent pauses between paragraphs?
How are you using API to create pauses currently?
And does <break time="0.5s" /> not work?
I'm sure you know, but headers have longer pauses but paragraphs should be fairly consistent.
For example, Audible recommends using a 1-second pause between paragraphs to maintain a smooth listening experience, while longer pauses of 2 to 3.5 seconds are suggested for mid-chapter section breaks to signal transitions or scene changes. These pauses should be consistent but can vary slightly based on the narrator’s pace and the story’s requirements.
Currently, I manually insert a 1-second pause between each paragraph to ensure a smooth and consistent listening experience, as the voice model often adds pauses that are either too short or inconsistent. Since the model isn’t aware of these requirements, it would be helpful to have an option to set them directly in the project settings.
