#I've received my AI cloned voice but rather than generating several samples, is there a way to test

You can certainly experiment with the STYLE, SIMILARITY, and STABILITY settings to see how they affect the output of your AI cloned voice. Each attempt to generate a voice will bring a different result, especially noticeable at low stability settings. The performance of the voice is also highly dependent on the voice itself. If you are using a pre-made or voice-designed voice, they tend to be more tempered and less emotional, while a cloned voice tends to exhibit a wider emotional range but that is also highly dependent on the original voice used for the clone.

As for the performance of the AI voices after a 1-hour recording session, it's important to note that the quality and consistency of the AI voice are highly dependent on the quality and consistency of the original samples used for cloning. If you're using Professional Voice Cloning, we recommend at the very least 30 minutes of audio and suggest between 2 to 3 hours of audio for the best results. The audio needs to be consistent throughout for the best result.

If you clone a voice properly, one that is consistent throughout, of high quality, properly recorded without background noise or multiple speakers, and if you follow the guidelines, you should be able to get a very good and consistent clone. It might require a bit experimenting if you don’t get it right the first time.

For anything longer than a few hundred characters, we highly recommend using the Projects feature if you are encountering issues. Not only will it be less prone to these issues, it will also allow you to regenerate specific paragraphs you are unhappy with, not the whole text.

Remember, the AI will try to clone everything in the audio, but for the AI to work optimally and predictably, we suggest following the guidelines mentioned above.

The original voice is definitely emotional and I had 3+ hours put in to clone. It's all recorded in a professional studio so it sounds good, I just don't know if it will after 1 hour. And playing with the tabs on every % is time consuming, so I wondered if there was anything better. I'll check out these references as well and try in Project. Is Project something I could use 2 voices if I want it to read dialogue as well? Thanks.

Here are a few suggestions based on the information provided:

  1. Using Projects for Long-form Content
The Projects feature is specifically designed for generating long-form content like scripts, stories, etc. It is less prone to issues like voice dropping, changing tone, or breaking compared to the regular speech synthesis. You can definitely use Projects if you want to generate dialogue between two different voice clones.

  2. Professional Voice Cloning for Unique Voices
Since you mentioned having 3+ hours of professionally recorded audio for cloning, Professional Voice Cloning (PVC) would likely give you the best results, especially if the original voice has unique characteristics or accents. PVC allows training a dedicated model tailored to that specific voice.

  3. Consistent Audio Samples
Ensure the audio samples used for cloning are highly consistent in terms of tone, performance, accent, audio quality, etc. Any inconsistencies in the samples can lead to variability in the output. The AI will try to replicate everything it hears, including undesirable artifacts.

  4. Regenerating Problematic Sections
Both in Projects and regular speech synthesis, you can regenerate specific sections that don't sound right instead of regenerating the entire text. This can save time when fine-tuning the output.

  5. Adjusting Sliders
While adjusting sliders like similarity can help in some cases, it's generally better to focus on providing high-quality, consistent audio samples during the cloning process itself.

In summary, for the best results with emotional, unique voices, Professional Voice Cloning combined with the Projects feature would likely give you the most consistent and natural-sounding output, especially for long-form content like dialogues.
