Hi. I am new to ElevenLabs and think the product is fantastic. I would like to subscribe and use the product for my small business.
I have used Speechelo in the past, but find this platform a lot better.
But I have some reservations.
I am concerned that the character count is calculated and deducted each time I click generate.
I work in the software area and have to produce explainer videos. There are terms used within IT that need correcting and spelling changed so the speech synth says them correctly.
I do find I need to do this quite a lot sometimes.
Counting when the generate button is pressed can waste a lot of credits, especially for long form.
Is there any way to "test" the speech without it being available for download? This way a paying customer won't waste their credits as a result of having to click generate a few times.

Nope. They want you paying for this stuff and when you use characters, you'll pay for more next month. I wish there was a way, but there isn't.
