I want to move my release save file to the pre-release so my group can play on the pre-release version without losing our current progress. Is there a way to do this so we don't have to start over on a fresh server?

Download the current Save Game and save it on examole youre Desktop.

After this you can reset the Server start it with youre prefered version.

After that you can upload youre save via FTP.
