Formal Report of Moderator Misconduct: Sinsalie [GP]

Subject: Formal Report of Moderator Misconduct and Abuse of Power by Sinsalie [GP] in #🪐︱dune-en Channel

User Reporting: Surebob [YARR]
Moderator Involved: Sinsalie [GP]
Date and Time of Incident: Approximately 5:00 AM - 5:50 AM (as per log timestamps)
Location: GPORTAL Official Discord, dune-en game chat channel

1. Summary of Incident
I am filing this report to address a clear case of moderator misconduct. While attempting to provide constructive, fact-based feedback regarding recurring service issues, I was subjected to censorship, unprofessional conduct, and an unjustified mute by moderator Sinsalie. The moderator explicitly gave me permission to discuss these topics, then arbitrarily reversed her stance, deleted my message, gaslit me, and muted me for questioning her actions. This disproportionate response was immediately questioned by multiple other community members, and the moderator’s own justification revealed she was enforcing personal preferences rather than established community rules.

2. Detailed Timeline and Analysis of Events

  • [5:00 AM - 5:08 AM] Cooperative Reporting: I reported a widespread server outage and cooperated fully with Sinsalie's requests for information to assist with the support process.
  • [5:09 AM] Providing Constructive Feedback: I began discussing the systemic nature of the server restart failures.
  • [5:12 AM] EXPLICIT PERMISSION GRANTED: In response to my feedback, Sinsalie stated: "its ok your welcome to spitball all you want ! lol". This gave me direct and unambiguous permission to continue the discussion.
  • [5:15 AM - 5:20 AM] On-Topic Discussion: Following her permission, I continued providing data-driven feedback on GPORTAL-specific issues, which is relevant in a GPORTAL-hosted game channel.
  • [5:20 PM] Arbitrary Reversal: Sinsalie abruptly contradicted her permission, attempting to shut down the exact type of conversation she had encouraged minutes earlier.
  • [5:23 PM] Respectful Pushback: I posted a carefully worded, respectful message explaining the importance of customer accountability.
  • [5:25 PM - 5:30 PM] Censorship and Message Deletion: Sinsalie deleted my 5:23 PM message.
  • [5:30 PM - 5:31 PM] Unprofessional Conduct and Gaslighting: When I asked if my message was deleted, her official response as a moderator was a mocking "spice."
  • [5:32 PM - 5:37 PM] Abuse of Power (Warning & Mute): After I expressed confusion, Sinsalie issued a "last warning" and then muted me for 5 minutes.
  • [5:37 PM] Immediate Community Backlash: User Aijin - Ixian immediately responded: "I don't get what rule of this discord he broke though. Genuinely." User Vertigo added, "yeah thats bad." This demonstrates that objective observers did not see my behavior as rule-breaking.
  • [5:41 PM - 5:44 PM] Moderator's Flawed Justification: When pressed, Sinsalie’s only defense was "i asked him to stop." She then elaborated that she considers valid feedback a "debate" that distracts her, stating: "I am not here to waste my time with debates... after i leave for the day you are more than welcome to do as you please... but my focus here today is to get everyone back online." This is an admission that she was enforcing a temporary, personal rule for her own convenience.
  • [5:49 PM] Demonstrated Chilling Effect: The moderator's actions created an environment of intimidation, proven when user Vertigo warned another complaining user: "careful, complaining might get you muted in here apparently."

3. Statement of Grievance
The actions of Moderator Sinsalie were inappropriate and damaging for the following reasons:

  1. Arbitrary and Contradictory Moderation: She gave explicit permission for a discussion and then punished me for engaging in it. Her own words prove she was enforcing a personal, temporary preference ("after i leave... you can do as you please"), not a consistent community rule.
  2. Censorship of Legitimate Feedback: Deleting a respectful post about service-level failures is unacceptable. As user Aijin - Ixian noted, this was the "proper forum for that type of speech."
  3. Unprofessionalism and Disrespect: The "spice" comment was a childish and unprofessional way to respond to a customer's valid question.
  4. Abuse of Moderator Tools: Using mutes to silence criticism is a clear abuse of power. Her only justification was that a user didn't obey her personal, ad-hoc request to stop. This is not a valid basis for moderation.
  5. Creating a Chilling Effect: Her actions actively discouraged other users from voicing their concerns, directly harming the purpose of a support and community channel.

4. Desired Resolution

  1. A formal review of this incident and the conduct of Moderator Sinsalie.
  2. The removal of any strike or negative mark against my account from this interaction.
  3. Clear and public clarification of the channel rules. If providing systemic feedback is not allowed, this rule should be explicit. If it is allowed, moderators must be trained to handle it professionally, even when they are busy.

I am a paying customer attempting to help improve the service I pay for. I expect to be treated with professionalism, not to be censored and punished for engaging in a discussion I was explicitly invited to have.

Supporting Evidence: The full, unedited chat logs from the dune-en channel from approximately 4:46 AM to 5:50 AM will corroborate every point made in this report.
