My buddies and I are thinking about renting a server. I've always been the one hosting from home, but since that's not an option with Dune: Awakening, GPortal seems like the next best thing, but i never used service like this.
That said, I have a question:
Can we adjust the payment plan or player count as we go? For example, if we start with a 16-player server, will we be able to scale down to 10 or even 6 players later on?
We don’t want to be stuck paying for a higher player count once people start leaving. We’re planning to split the cost between active players, so it would be ideal if we could do something like run 16 players for 3 months, and then downgrade to 8 players for 1 month or whatever makes sense at the time.
Is it possible to adjust this on the fly or move our saved progress to a smaller server?
