I rented 20 slots. It says you have to edit the game cloud first. It's set to 20. But when I try to change the active slots on my Valheim server I get an error saying to edit the game cloud first. I see other people advertise servers with more, or people saying they can add more later.

Ah. Nvm. The message says the amount of slots isn't valid.

their guide says "just edit the slots here and here and you're good"
But it doesn't let me turn on 20 slots.

The amount of slots depends on the game you're playing.
If that game doesn't allow or is able to run that many slots, it won't work.

People in the official valheim server advertise servers with more than 10
in the default game i think it can only be 10 but i dont know how ppl are doing dedicated vanilla servers with more than 10.

It's possible they are doing something they aren't supposed to. Maybe they are self host. I don't know.
