how to change Server name color

Hi I have just got a Rust console Community server from GPORTAL but having issues getting the name to change color I followed tutorials but nothing seems to work if someone could help me thst would be great

I just found out that the color works in game when I'm on the server it's the server name before you click to join it on the server page

On the game when you join the server it's just the server list that's still showing white text

I can only see the color when I've connected to the server on the menu and welcome screen

ohhhhh so go on Gportal website and change the title of your server to a specific colors or colors

so you said it doesn’t show on the server list but it shows on the welcome screen text so go on GPortal then you can see "server name" change the colors on there like you did with the welcome screen text

That was what I put it on the welcome screen is showing the servers name on it in color but the list nope

yes go on GPortal and go to server name and change the text to colored text cause the welcome screen text and server name text are different server name displays on the list when finding a server in game and then the welcome message text is for when people join your server it will pop up with a box in game

There's only a name option and that has color set to it already

So that color text for the name shows up on this part as well but not while people are looking on the server list

oh you just have to reset your server then it should hopefully pop up it could also take a while

when i tried to do colors it took me like 10-15 for it to show on the list

I did hit the reset button but I'll attempt a second reboot if needed let me see if it's shown up

Yeah still white ill tell the server to restart but what do I do if it does not work

Tbh most be the issue as my Rust has been buggy

If it don't resolve soon it's either speaking to GPORTAL support or speak to the rust support

you’re welcome i have never had this issue to be fair so i dont know because you have the colors you reset your server

have you tried verifying game files

What would that do would it wipe the save data?

no it just refreshes the server most recent save so it just get the most recent save it’s in status it might help your current issue

I do have 1 question before this is resolved so I used kit manager to make a starterkit but I have no clue on how to make it automatically give it to new players

Hmmm. It looks accurate. But try lowercasing the word color in your coding. I don't know if it'll actually help but it's worth a try.

Might of been after I made them edits it did not work first time but as soon as I restarted the server it started showing

Is the Share n play channel for anyone renting a server from Gportal to advertise there server?

Sorry one more question is there away to access any form of kick logs to see who has been kicked and banned and yes I know my GPORTAL is down under maintenance

Banned you can in-game. Itll be under the banned tab in the player list. As for kicked, I think you'd have to download the logs and search it somehow. So no easy way, unfortunately
