This server is currently suspended, although I have credit funds available in my account.

I have asked for either a refund of the credit amount, or for it to be used for the server.

the response i got was that you can not use the funds for a server but could refund the money back.

can you explain why my seervice has been suspended when A - i have available funds, B the reason said funds cant be used by you to cover the costs of a service provided by you is a mystery. C the reason the funds are not availble in my other means of payment is because you already hold the funds. and D why if you can refund the money, and was asked to do so, have you not done so?

which for a nearly 3 year old game, from a 20+ year operational business, seems erm, i dunno, poor pewrfomance and customer service.

Unfortunately, this is a problem with the Microsoft API

We are already working on reactivating all servers, which will take some time.

Best to wait a bit. Your server will be online again soon.

ya know, some accountability would go a lot further to keep your reputation up, than this repeated passing of the buck - its a new game, its d11's fault, there wasnt enough servers available at launch, this is Microsoft's api's fault.

its really not a good image for a company with 20+ years experience hosting servers.

Well, there's not much we can do if the Microsoft API no longer works and customers are not renewed because the payment doesn't go through.

Yes, the game still has massive problems at the moment, but unfortunately we only have to deal with the problem of the number of servers.
The fact that the server list does not work, the game has bugs or the Microsoft API no longer works has no influence on us.

Of course I can understand your frustration, but please understand that our hands are tied for the most part with all the problems and we can't fix them ourselves.

Especially with the Microsoft API we have no other alternative, because this is the mandatory way of Microsoft to offer the servers on the XBOX platform.

so am i right in understanding that if i purchased the server directly through g portal - and didnt use the xbox portal to do so, and didnt link my accounts, and merely used the web UI you provided, this wouldnt be an issue - like playstation players?

Right, then you are not dependent. However, this only applies to the RUST server. All other XBOX games must be purchased via the XBOX app.

But that's only because XBOX and PS4 are Rust Crossplay.

ok - so how would one go about canceling a server purchased through xbox - to transfer it to one purcahed through you? being the middle man i'd hope you guys would be able to facilitate that?

Even if you think we have control over the server payment things, it is unfortunately also up to Microsoft.

If you want to have a server cancelled, you have to contact the Microsoft Store, as they handle all the payment issues.
In this case, we are only the service provider. You have concluded a purchase contract with Microsoft.
The best way to do this is to use Microsoft's subscription management website, where you can cancel the server.

Unfortunately, the data cannot be transferred. Even our support team has no way of transferring the data, as they are unfortunately very separate systems.

It is unfortunate with the XBOX system if you want to switch.

@pine osprey dude - im trying here as you can see - gportal has no access or control over the data stored on its systems apparently. now whilst that raises even more security concerns over how they operate, currently we are outta luck till they figure out the Microsoft api thing, or they deign to give me a refund...

This is related to a completely different problem that we had at the beginning of Rust. But that was also fixed in a short time.
This was due to the large number of orders, which led to problems.

This has nothing directly to do with XBOX Payment.

its why the credit was there in the first place - and i was told by your team i could use that credit for payment... i then took what you said as a truth. to lateer find out tthat i cant use the credit as payment - i hate to call you out on more, but its disingenous to say the mattteers are unrelated when one led to the other.

You cannot use the GPORTAL credit for payments with an XBOX service. You can now use the credit to rent a PS4 Rust server, for example.

Please note that you cannot use your credit for XBOX services. We are 2 different companies.

Ok so here's one I lost my card cancelled it then next day didn't have funds in bank server went down used my actual credit card to renew service just bc I have a lot of people waiting on my server then I deleted the old card that was linked got a confirmation email from MICROSOFT that my rust server 30 days had been renewed and yet here it is 4 hours later and my server still says suspended

This is also a point that we cannot deal with, as you have entered into a purchase agreement with Microsoft and not directly with us.

Here you have to contact the Microsoft Store, as you bought the server from them.

There was no reply my subscription renewed and it's saying it'll renew again February 5 2024 so my server is active till Feb 5 2024 FROM MICROSOFT yet I get on g-portal and it says suspended so my question to u is if Microsoft recognized I made the payment and it went through and Microsoft says it doesn't renew again till Feb 5 2024 yet my server is still suspended how is it on Microsoft part
