I've noticed collect compression dust doesn't work on the chores. It'll collect tons of them but never move.

You mean the CompressedDustToken ? Is it from prestiges or from chests?

not sure, i suppose it may be from prestige or chest. i thought it was from when looking at. prestige and it said how many you would have. so it could be working. i haven't got it again so i haven't been able to test.

It won't go up unless you actually get the CompressedDustToken .
