#Thoughts on stamina being used for other actions?

I think it could be interesting to have a some-what more in-depth stamina system with various survivors having different levels of stamina. As in some having multiple dodges or less based on the specific characters and their endurance level.

I know its obviously something that would be very hard to balance with the way levels are designed but I think it would be interesting for things like running, jumping gaps and hanging off ledges to (slowly) deplete the bar. It would probably need a lot of tweaking but I just find it interesting that every character is pretty much a parkour expert never getting tired or dropping after hanging off a ledge for longer than a few minutes.

Obviously don't want to take away player agency when it comes to certain things, perhaps instead it could be a negative trait for certain survivors or a curveball / effect when people are tired? I also think stealth and sneaking speeds could be higher or lower depending on the survivor as well.

I only say this after sort of cheesing specific levels, running back and forth over a hole, dropping the zombies inside where they can't reach me, though I understand these systems could potentially lead to frustrating situations that make people want to alt-F4.

I think it's not the best idea to encourage devs to crack down on cheesing. Figuring out alternative strategies is half the fun and I'd really rather not be forced to play maps specific ways because I'm 'supposed to.' I need to be allowed to use my brain and feel smart when I come up with solutions that don't use weapons and increase my carry room because I'm not carrying scavenging tools and weapons in the majority of my slots just in case I need them on a map. I'd rather be able to use map designs to my advantage rather than be forced into specific things, and utilising game mechanic/enemy ai/etc knowledge to do so is what enriches my playing experience.
That said, I do like the idea of negative traits for certain survivors and an effect when people are tired. That would make it an actual requirement to keep on top of survivor's needs which I think would probably be a good idea.
Penny is already sneakier than other survivors which works both for and against her depending on what strategies you're trying to use, and I like that a lot. I think added stealth debuffs and increased or decreased sneaking speeds to specific other survivors as well (like Joe fighting, running and walking louder due to his sturdy size, creating an actual risk using his bigger looting capabilities and requiring better strategies when using him to minimise risk of being discovered and group hugged by the zombies 😂) could definitely make things more interesting and add to what the devs want with being more selective on who you take depending on what type of gameplay you're trying.
