(I read every suggestion that pops up BTW)
I feel like the community is split down the middle when it comes to difficulty. The extreme (masochist that want your character to have a chance to die going back to base) and The easy going(as long as stuff is new and fun I'll give it a try). I feel like I'm in the middle and so are some others on this discord.
There are so many suggestions that are great for difficulty but not replay value. There are suggestions that are great for replay value and overall fun but not difficulty because it would make the game "too easy" which I agree with sometimes and disagree with other times.
I'm not sure if people have noticed but I feel as though our great saviors from boredom PikPok has done a great job with introducing hard mode for the middle ground people and custom settings for the extremist.
I feel as if the common gamers that don't have the time/want to invest 45 minutes to an hour and a half for ONE level are being left out. Just because something will make the game easier doesn't mean it will ruin/break the game.
If the game was as hard as it is now when I first started I'm not sure I would even be typing this.
#Fun, difficulty, and replaying the game.

Randomness is good sometimes, structure is also good sometimes, I feel like taking things away from players are not that good unless the individual makes that decision for themselves, and adding is almost never a problem because you(yourself) can decide to abstain from using that thing.
I truly do love playing this game and the community on this discord. I just hope everyone understands that casual players are plentiful, time is not, and money is made from trees but doesn't grow on them. I just want to see this game succeed so that I can continue to post my so-so suggestions like everyone else.
Let's help THEM make a great game for EVERYONE and not just think about it from our own perspective. Thank you for your time if you read this. Love from a community member ❤️
Best zombie game I've ever played so thank you for listening when you can Pikpok.
I think adding the difficulty settings was a MASSIVE game changer and really improved the experience for me because I think I'm in the middle like you. And yeah, the time is limited and 'money is made from trees but doesn't grow on them' are excellent things to remind people of. Allowing your game to be played by people with limited time who just want a certain experience while also giving more hardcore players plenty of options to crank up the difficulty if they want is a good middle ground and a necessary one, especially as capitalism progresses and less and less people have time to play hardcore settings on a video game when they only have like, an hour a week for playing a game tops because they have to survive real life first before they can play a fictional apocalypse version.
The more elements they add to the custom settings options, the more fun and versatile and replayable the game would become, in my opinion. The modding options when they become available will help with that too.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to what the devs do next.
Same here. The updates just around the corner and to be honest, I'm waiting patiently for when trading arrives because I feel like that will change the meta/game A LOT.
I have one day a week to really grind the game so being able to get specific items would help loads. Being able to save and share your difficulty settings would be nice as well and modding would probably bring multi-player faster so I'm all for it.
