Background Zombies

I love the tension that the uninteractable background zombies have but... this is straight up confusing because you can walk directly in the Line-Of-Sight of almost every zombie in the game. However this background zombie highlighted in green here can see you in the red spot but cannot see you in the green circle spot. This is really confusing because i originally thought up to this point background zombies can't really see you. But they can. But you also cannot kill or interact with them unless they have aggression activated. Is this a bug or on purpose? Feels a little bit unfair if zombies can spot you but are unkillable until they spot you and only spot you if you attempt to hide in very very specific spots. I guess you can call that a trap. Traps are cool but this seems... off. Note: He will not spot you at all unless you hide in that one specific spot. He is otherwise completely blind to you.

They only come out if you make loud noise or if the zombie in front of you notices you

I tested it. That specific zombie actually visually SEES you. I can show you a clip if you want. Because only sees you specifically if you hide in that space. when sneaking he does not see or hear you.
