idk how y'all expected this to go down, but the implementation of Foil cards has been a complete disaster since Tights & Titans ended. What could have been a great new feature for SuperCard has become a cash grab and is FOMO bait. Horrible odds and awful packs that shouldn't have ever been considered for end of Rarity content are quickly turning potential buyers off.

Your players and community deserve better than this.

Genuinely, people WOULD pay for this if the cost was fixed. Sticking horrid odds and leaving it up to such low odds and chances is just awful, MyFaction esq behaviour

On one hand , they did state the cards would be “ultra rare” to obtain…

But on the other. There’s other ways to disburse these cards in small quantities.
i.e on the draft board at a VERY VERY LOW RATE

With you still being able to cater to the p2w players with them in BETTER packs. WHILE STILL giving the F2P players an opportunity to obtain the cards if they play enough/are lucky enough.

As simple as that. Idk what’s happening to the game we love bro.

I've been saying it last few hours that adding foils at end of tier for base cards is silly b/c the people that buy packs will already have F3's so wont be able to upgrade their cards with them

I spend more on this game than anyone should, and I wouldn't touch those packs at those odds. Even more of a money grab than usual. And even then, I have 2 F3 Romans and 2 F3 Punks. What would I even do with the foils. Just kinda foolishness all around.

I don’t think it is wise to ever put content behind a paywall. If you want to encourage spending, low chances for free in the draft/Rarity boards makes sense. Yet, not making them available for free at all, AND making the chances so low even if you do spend is really foolish.

As JB stated, at the end of the rarity too, where I feel like you guys cultivated a lot of good will for the most part, seems odd.

Seems odd to have them as a reset when we just had 3 events of pulling shaq green and Blake which didn’t even reset the board.

But can people of lower tier also collect these foils?

Will they be pullable forever or just a set amount of time?

Loads of questions I haven’t seen any clarification on

I think even the way they put Rey, Cody and Jacob foils in after the event had finished is crazy.
1k for a 1% chance is ridiculous considering the backlash over the 5% cards in TNT.
Think it's a fine idea to put on the DB or RDB.
Should maybe just have the chance at a foil in every pack instead.
I understand the low odds but it's definitely hard to justify going for them at this stage of a tier let alone at this price/percentage point

The foil cards seem to be a cool idea in theory. The issue with it when you announce it and than make them only available if you pay for it. If you incorporate a way for the players in game to get it without spending

Would love to see the BP get the foil treatment. make it so 2 copies of the BP card are on the free side, 2 copies on the premium side and a foil copy in the quest when you buy the premium side. (Keep the special equipment somewhere too) would greatly improve the BP imo

Not a bad idea, but they’ll never give out bp cards for free. Best they would do is give the pro level 1 with all the boosts and sprinkle in the other 2 in other levels possibly 25 and then put the foil in the quest. Also forces you to buy the next one for the f3 so they’d love that

i want the rey foil and stuff but even if you spend 6500! credits is a 5% chance absolute bull.
you spend 5,500 n it’s like 1in12 of getting them no one wants the other cards we already have.
why are you gate keeping these even from p2w people at the end of the tier, is cat daddy in debt or something

I still don’t understand how this works. I just got a regular Stone Cold from Fastlane and I have the foil pro but I can’t seem to fortify this.

I'm NOT spending my hard earned money on these kind of cards! I'll spend creds. for double heroics, pro's and forts. But these I'll just wait to get lucky, with the odds as you said, probably won't happen but oh well! I'm good with my strategy and I'm never going to change it because they want some extra money out of us!

I've run into an issue no doubt many others have. Went for F3 Fatu in the event, but now have a Foil Fatu... and can't get another Fatu because he's not available in any packs.

Contacted support, but have little hope they'll offer "downgrading" my f3 so I can reapply the foil to make it a Foil F3.

Any suggestions @open plinth ? and for others who face this same issue

obviously, like others - if I knew the Foil was coming i'd have held off turning it into a F3 and full fortifying

Never making an F3 again if they can’t do anything about that. Getting such a seemingly rare thing just for it to be unusable is devastating especially to ftp players.

it essentially does make it so F3's are only doable if you have an extra beyond it ... that way you can make the second pro and feed the f3 into the foil.

a solution would be an upgrade option once F3 where only a foil card will work

this should be doable as pro does turn into fortify. so adding an upgrade option after should be a function doable

Cash Daddy only cares about the P2W players, it’s evident by the comments here. Us F2P players are just up a creek without a paddle, but I’ve come to expect that recently. Been playing since Season 6

Can’t expect them to do anything about it realistically. It was a decision you made to F3 Jacob prior to getting the foil. If you had video footage of you accidentally making a normal F3 with the foil in your catalog maybe they’d help but otherwise it was always wishful thinking

Jacob Fatu in particular isn't possible to obtain as an individual card guaranteed. Every other TnT is.

you can forge the others once you have the foil, or play Fastlane/open 100 Card Cache's.

Jacob Fatu is the ONLY one.

I also still make the point that bringing a feature in like this, when it has this massive drawback is something CD/2K Support should offer a make-right to those who the drawback affects.

After announcement, it's down to the player to understand the feature or CD to find a solution if they choose to change it. But right now, it feels like a punishment for anyone who dare max out the card's power.

If you have a CM Punk F3, it's not your fault that an upgrade to your card has been released, but you can't use it because you played the game the way it was meant to be played. That's backwards logic.

I agree, they SHOULD help rectify the issue. I was just pointing out that they don’t have to, evident from what you said about support just telling you no. It does suck and all but if they did it for one person they should do it for everyone and I doubt they’d go through the effort of previous card instead opting to solve the problem with future foil cards

sorry to awaken an old thread... but did CD games really think i was going to keep a foil of an old card?

i honestly HOPE i don't pull one of these foils.

ss21 doesn't need foils, TODAY needs them
