Is this normal as soon as I put it in my PS5 it automatically starts downloading the PS4 version and also that the PS5 upgrade is not available?

Yes, you bought the PS4 version of the game so you get the PS4 version of the game and nothing else.

You just said it wasn't available so I assumed that meant that there was no upgrade offered and now you are saying there is an upgrade

No, I looked on the PS Store the upgrade is not available but according to Sony it is because the game is not officially released

I am not familiar with this. Are you able to share screenshots or more details? Did you write a player support ticket?

Wait until the game gets a full release and it may be availible but you might be out of luck because you bought the PS4 version not the PS5 version.
