Ship stuck a few blocks above ground after expanding

I would rebuild the ballons and try to fly again.

If that does not work, remove the block on the ground under it.

Also any tress near it.

my fix was shutting down world and turning back on. if not, another fix was maximum ascension and acceleration unsticks airship
