World & Dungeons

Many islands feel repetitive or incomplete
Dungeons can be partially missing, with gaps letting you skip sections
This removes challenge and intended progression
Rewards feel limited → add more useful materials (alloys, herbs, food items)

Progression & Crafting

Add durability reduction per repair to encourage crafting
Expand with gear quality tiers (Good → Legendary)
Processing stations could give higher-quality materials based on upgrades
Key chests should give better tier-based rewards
edit: ability to uncraft blocks, getting back the materials
Farming & Water Systems

Current water system feels limited
Add larger capacity buckets
Add systems like:
Water storage + connections to incubators
More connected = faster usage
Rain collection for passive supply

Building & Creativity

Full block rotation (great that it’s being worked on)
Block coloring system
More roof types & flint building options
More door variety + auto-close
Add music boxes for ambience
Core improvements: protection toggle + material return

Ships & Exploration

Add cruise control + compass directions
Improve flying camera:
Zoom out for large builds
Free rotation
Orbit view
Add safe docking near islands
Add floating NPC ships with quests + rare rewards

NPCs & Quests

NPCs feel static → add dialogue, voices, roles
More quests, including in high-risk areas

Performance & QoL

Add item cleanup timer (reduce lag/clutter)
Base healing structure
Proper cooking station + herb mixing
Engine tiers with better efficiency options

If something like durability reduction per repair gets added, im uninstalling immediately

Or using cheat for unlimited durability skipping whole system entirely.
Durability reduction is really really bad idea

"Add durability reduction per repair to encourage crafting"

Man asked to leave the thread for the worst suggestion known to man

I'm sick and tired of these crafting games with annoying ass durability systems, the way this game does it is fine, I dont wanna remake the same tool 50 times to encourage wasting mats for playing the game. The "Expand with gear quality tiers" is a good suggestion to have people remake a tool but at that point just add a reforge table or allow the blacksmiths in towns to reforge for a bit of gold.

Durability drain can always be a game mode feature like "hard", I just give my feedback and suggestions, it doesn't mean they have to be added 🤣, but the system now is craft and keep making alloys just useless, unless you try and make the same item over and over

And thats fine, and we are just speaking out that we don't want to see that at all.

Item durability could be a more balanced approach. Setting up an item quality system where high-quality items can only be crafted at a smithing station would work well. However, it would still require a player crafting level system to support it: players gain experience when decomposing or crafting items, and the higher their level, the better the items they can create.

Players can only loot basic versions of items. Even as they level up, the random affixes they get from looting will still be low-tier. However, as their Smithing level increases, the high-quality items they craft will have a much higher chance of rolling desirable random affixes, along with improved durability and better base stats.

If you want the devs to slightly nerf item durability without ruining the normal gameplay experience, wouldn’t the approach be much better? Instead of this radical system where each repair reduces a tool’s maximum durability. All the points I made above are great examples: make the game’s smithing station more powerful, give players more ways to DIY their weapons, rather than forcing one restrictive system after another.

Yeah, i posted before saying that being able to loot all the gear you need just removes the point of crafting.
