Light xbow, weeping, longbow for skinning
Add badon for solo dungeons

I wouldn't suggest solo dungeons, even less in safe zones
Longbow is a cheap option u can go to bz with to clear OW mobs and camps

Same for lxbow and weeping

Are swords actually useful in this game?
I’ve been leveling swords, especially Dual Swords and the Carving Sword, but I noticed that in almost every party setup, both for PvP and PvE, nobody really asks for swords. Usually it’s just a tank with a mace, healer staffs, mage staffs, maybe a bow, and not much else.
Are swords really that useless, or am I missing something?

They have uses
dual swords in solo gameplay / gathering
carving in group pvp
the rest are either group pvp, solo pvp
definitely not group pve though, too low damage compared to actual pve centric weapons

I prefer pvp contents but as Im newbie I wonder if I have to do first pve stuff

Carving is viable in group pve but outclassed by other stuff such as shadowcaller

U can jump straight into pvp and spec up with tomes
Both faction and arena reward u with tomes
I believe u get tomes from corrupted as well, and there's pve in there too

For pvp in groups, really you're mainly gonna encounter carving being asked, nothing else.
The rest are more niche and in the current meta not as popular, exception being galatine pair, but that only at high tiers

U can solo roam in bz OW doing camps/OW mobs while u don't find someone to 1v1
