Hello soclap and all you readers and players of this game.
As a main keeper since season 0 who didn’t play season one and the beginning of season 2. I was surprised to see the changes that have been done to the GK. Some in my opinion are good and others less.
I’ll start with the good ones. The prio’s that we used to have with the head needed to be removed and that’s a great thing because for me it’s not the role of the GK to do headers in the feet of players who are shooting.
On the other hand when I saw that they did major changes to the magnet of the GK on his dives was for me a big surprise. I agree with you that the magnet of the GK was busted when he ran into the attacker’s in season 0. But for me the dives didn’t need to be changed like that. I’m not saying that it is impossible to catch shots but sometimes the dives just feel off. Like I’m talking about the low effect that attackers are now using to make the GK have a bad animation dive and making it impossible for us to catch or sometimes our character has a slow anime as we call it and there is no explanation about how to solve this.
I also want to talk about something that currently ruining lives of strikers who are literally playing against a cheat that GK can do very easily. I’m talking about the auto guided forward jumps. Those literally brake the game. As a main GK I find myself being forced to run on the attacker and dive forward to let the game play for me because when play I reflex on my line I catch bad animations like said earlier.
To sum it up, I’m not saying that currently the GK is busted or not. I’m juste saying that there are some things that are illogical from a GK perspective. For me the gameplay should be more based on the line and less running out of the box.
