It would be best to undo the patch and work on the fixes that are most important to you first, instead of trying to do everything at once and completely changing the feel of the game.
I know strikers won't agree with me at all right now, because the game feels great for them again now that you can do almost anything and score from any position. Before, you needed teamwork to be successful in front of goal, but now you just need to shoot accurately and the goalkeeper can't get to it anyway.
I just think it's a shame that a game that has so much potential and would attract so many players gets so little love from you, and that you try to make it better but end up achieving the opposite. First, get the game to a state where people aren't constantly crashing out of it and it runs smoothly. Then you can gradually take care of the gameplay bugs, and only then can you think about gradually adjusting the gameplay itself. We'd rather play a game that runs smoothly and without crashes, but has a few bugs that we can accept, than a game where none of that really works.
I know this text won't change anything, but since I simply love this game, I wanted to make my frustration public with the quiet hope that this will be an impetus for rethinking.
