As a striker, in a perfect scenario, a scoring opportunity is between the striker and the goalie,
Unfortunately 90% this is not the case.
Strikers have to maneuver the ball accurately between teammates, and around opponents with a very limited skill set.
The in-game default dribbling mechanics are an insufficient way of creating space between defenders as it seems that the a standing tackle and a dodge move the same distance.
There aren’t really any options to defend the ball, even attempting to change directions puts you at risk of an opponent spamming the lob button to steal possession.
The “ippy-slide” is a move that when used correctly creates space, and when used incorrectly can be easily counter by a tackle.
I think removing the ippy-slide before giving players more fifa like control of the ball is a HUGE mistake.
As it you removed the easily facilitated “Blade-shot” and has already impacted strikers ability to create their own shots in tough situations.
Many high ranking games end in low scores, with extended overtime’s, and it seems like Goalkeepers are getting a lot more attention when they arguably already have the most control over possessions, not to mention that the point allocation favours them heavily
