The game is fun but it does not feel rewarding when you win a game or lose a game. The main issue is that competitive play feels more like casuals. The current ranked system does not reward skill but rather it rewards who has more playtime. Elite rank feels oversaturated and there are people who are 10k, 15k, 20k rated in the game who only got there because they play the game more then others. The only difference between the top 1 player in the leaderboard and a top 5000 player in the leaderboard is playtime. I believe a ranked reset is mandatory in the next update or following updates. I would recommend Sloclap to look at other games such as Valorant, Rocket league, Overwatch and other similar games and get inspiration for a new ranked system. One idea I had was making a top 500 leaderboard and the higher MMR you are the less you gain per win and the more you lose per game. Losing and gaining the same amount of MMR every game against any rank makes things uninteresting and unrewarding.

definitely agree with you here. I would also remove the derank shield for ranks diamond and above. Would be awesome if we could get RP based off of match performance + win bonus. Also, would be cool to see a hot or cold streak in the game where if you're in a losing streak or winning streak there should be a slight buff to gaining or losing RP.

I totally agree with this suggestion, an MMR based ranked is mandatory
