In a ranked game. If someone leaves the team and doesn’t rejoin after 2 minutes or if the game is lost before they rejoin, make it so the losing team gets protection from losing points.
Winning team still gets points.

Friend. Devs don't has interest on balancing and fair play content.
Devs can't even make descent cosmetic or better character customization, with is the most basic feature for an game.
I recall you can just quit the match if you feel losing cuz no penalties, unless devs fixed it lmao

Mate of course they do. I understand it’s not easy to implement due to various reasons and the fact the system could be abused.

I think it might be better to try to deter people from leaving. Ban them from matchmaking for 10 minutes the first time, 30 minutes the next time, then an hour etc.
If a team is losing then someone might just quit to save their teammates the ranking points if it didn't count as a loss for them
