One thing that could really make a difference long-term is giving players a way to unlock the same cosmetics either by paying or by simply playing consistently.
It shouldn't be a strict pay-to-get system, but more of a pay-to-skip —** you pay if you want** the items right away, but if you put in the time, you should still be able to earn them without spending more money.
Obviously it needs a well-balanced economy.
Something like earning a bit of currency after every match could work — maybe it takes time, but at least you’re progressing.
I’m not even saying it has to let you buy the battle pass for free,
but at the very least, being able to unlock cosmetics without constantly spending extra would feel fair and respectful to players **who **already bought the game.
A system like that gives people real choice, and honestly,
it’d make the game way more rewarding to stick with
