#New WorkBench Plugins
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Note: This is not a thread for WorkBench bells and whistles. It's specifically for BI to add plugins to expedite common routines.
We need plug ins that make common actions faster, and less error prone. This could all be done in one plug-in interface in a step-by-step screen, or split out into multi plugins.
The plugin(s) should say what it's doing with what file(s) in case the modder needs to do some more advanced actions later.
It should also make available and generate all the necessary files for the modder such as configs, Editable prefabs, icons, etc. for it to work.
Plug ins for all game modes:
**1. Adding new weapons, uniforms, and gear to arsenal. As well as option to remove item(s) so they cannot be selected in menu.
-
Adding new vehicles to spawn menu (including GM, player spawn). As well as option to remove vehicle(s) so they cannot be selected in menu.
-
Adding new prefabs to build menus (buildings from command tent, GM). As well as option to remove buildable items(s) so they cannot be selected in menu.
-
Add a new faction to choose from in the faction selection screen. As well as option to remove faction(s) so they cannot be selected in menu.**
@noble axle @twilit zodiac In case any of you have ideas for the plug ins to make WB easier to deal with
Also @viral heath since Mario tagged him in the prior reply
A plugin for adding things to free roam building etc.
Tbf I haven't looked at it since before 1.6 but I just remember it being extremely convoluted.
Also please please please give the peer tool and dedicated server plugin the option to delay the connection of a client.
wtf are some of you guys talking about ðŸ˜
they forget about combat ops
and what does it have to do with development / scripting plugins ?
and i forget that its so differnt than conflicts over writing cause its not always us for ru
Kitty's right. @smoky dirge can you move this thread to #reforger_workbench ?
rofl i woke up and saw i was added to a thread about plugins so i added my two cents.
It's mainly to make the tedious-but-important stuff be a dozen clicks vs 50 clicks
Better config file inspector?
and can you guys add if we can inspect on world editor run time? so we can see variable changes without having to debug or print all of changes we need to see?
Automatic add all minimum requirement or world Preset? so we can create our world preset? like when we create a new world there are option to blank or use some preset world?
