“The Buffel is a South African mine-resistant troop carrier (APC) developed in the 1970s for the South African Border War and briefly during the Rhodesian Election. It used a high V-shaped hull on a truck chassis to protect soldiers from landmines and IEDs, and it became one of the first widely successful MRAP-type vehicles.”
