what does this do exceacly
It turns of Bloom from the HDR prefab....
Bloom, sometimes referred to as light bloom or glow, is a computer graphics effect used in video games, demos, and high-dynamic-range rendering (HDRR) to reproduce an imaging artifact of real-world cameras. The effect produces fringes (or feathers) of light extending from the borders of bright areas in an image.
I am interested to know if this has any performance benefits that you have noticed? 🙂
Although I haven't tested performance benefits I would imagine it would slightly improve performance as you are basically removing an additional form of HDR rendering.
But given the use of vanilla bloom is subtle the benefits will be small.
The purpose of the mod, for my own benefit, was to create a cleaner, sharper image. ✨
Interesting, will definitely need to do some testing. Thank you regardless! Small mods like these are very much appreciated 😎
is it possible that the vignette setting is affecting red dot sights?! they're mostly white now for us and i think its since i added this mod..tracers too
I'll take a look, I'm sure I only reduced the bloom setting....
no,vignette is set to 0
Yeah, just noticed that and pushed an update to restore it to it's original value.
