what's the map size?
the last map was 278 sqaure km but were making it a tad bit smaller.

Takistan isn't 15x15 either. I'm going to type the replies in one message so I don't have to wait 30 seconds in between. A good pvp map is 8x8 to 10x10 if it's all land. If it's an island sure 16x16, but a full land mass of 16x16 is insanity if you want consistant fun gameplay without 25-40 minutes walks of boredom
this will be used on our PVE server mainly so that's our top priority as of now.
Alot of good pvp maps are way bigger then 8x8. Coming from the old resident conflict guy here
the bigger the better.
the worst and best part of playing a map is learning the whole map, good because you know your way around, bad because you never get that fresh feeling of playing something new. So i will always stand by bigger maps being better.
I could test it on a server I co-own (I'm on PS5) Xbox may have issues, but PS5 should be able to run it with an FPS drop while loading sections of the map quickly.
It should be "technically" similar to the performance of gulfcoast Islands which is 15.3x15.3 total
i cannot say how stable this will be on console as of now, however if you wanted to run tests that would be amazing.
I'll check it when it gets done downloading (My download is 800 Kbps) should take a minute, but i'll get back to you to see if it runs ok when it does.

My recommendation to maintain peformance is to use a lot of decrepit buildings with small sections of props (Or none) to decrease total overall assets to render in a large concentrated area. If possible that is
90% of the map is ruins so your in luck.
That aint that bad size wise for such a large area, I've been on Fallujah before with my unit (Like 4.5 ish GB might have been 5)

I'd keep the majority of it the low effort empty ruins, and add priority buildings (landmarks or highrise positions heavily defended) to keep strategic points/Poi's that are "preserved" or "Well Defended" for conflict.
Most of it is desolate anyway ๐

it's about halfway done downloading, but for some reason Grozny itself takes a decade, and decreases my download speed for whatever reason.

Well, i can confirm that it works when starting the server. Still gotta wait for the main mod to finish being downloaded after it nuked my download speed to 84 Kbps
How strict are people with adding in bodies?
It does work on PS5, performance isn't really awful, and runs as expected, only lagging when loading sections of the large populated buildings. Does lag in highly contrated areas though, but that can be worked on way later down the line when it's not mostly satelite imagery.
I think this is the old Grozny as our one is not currently up.
