So.. Somehow decided sometime back..
I wanna make a Arma Reforger Map..
Decided to make one from the Area where i grew up.

I'm making the terrain.. And also planning making Some small Combat Ops on it... Plus Possibly Conflict and ofc GM..

Its a HUGE map.. 10x10km size...

Doing one Area at the time.. Right Now (since on and off from to much regular very demanding work) for 6-8 months since i started..
To learn the stuff i need to learn on one area and "finishing" it...

some work on Satmap since my original satmap is quite very bad.... using @midnight wave Satmap tools.

This is Satmap original, which i will use for working on the map with forests etc.

This was the most issue i had with the satmap i had.. Bleeding onto the grass.. Without making ALL of the Terrain Paint yourself and put "Satmap Bleed" and "Larp" on the vegetation setup it became impossible / hard on the eyes to view..

Since want to use quite much of the Adjust Height Map from road generator.

With a edited Visibility & Look of the Names.. Obvisouly not finished with the Look of the names.. Only some are for me 100% great

So my current idea for the Look of the Names is something like this.
Bigger Lake Area Names - Max Out and Blue (standard, with size also)
Smaller Lake Area Names - Only 1 Zoom level in (normally 3 levels in something), and Blue (standard size also)
Islands - Max Out and Italic White (None standard)
Smaller Islands - 1 Zoom Level (Italic White)
Main Areas - Max Out and Orange (Big text)
Medium Living Areas - 0-1 Zoom Level In (Yellow and Medium Text)
Sub Living Areas (not Done) - 2 ZOom Level in (Yellow and Medium)
Local Living Areas (solo Houses) - 4 Zoom Level in (Dark Orange Brown Smal Text, Italic(?))
Hills and Valleys - 1 Zoom Level In (Bit Brighter Brown than standard, Italic )
Local Nature Area - 4 Zoom Levels in (Green with Small Text, Italic)

Took a while to find out which files you had to alter, and also that it can be done via GameMode also to switch how it looks etc.... (which might be, not great)...

Also.. Made a new Satmap based of old one.. took a while to find the position and rescale etc..
Used Game Terrain Plugin on QGIS which doesnt make the cutout "true" north-south.. so had to make a bigger area.. then rotate.. then find the edges.. which i made atleast some good idea in the beginning to use the natures borders to easy find edges.. f.ex edge of the lake on one side.. edge of a island on the other.. edge of a wood line on another etc...

So been away for work some week+ not really doing anything.... When i was away i got some time to learn how to "properly" make a Height Map in QGIS, Not Game Terrain Plugin. Update video and stuff will come when i get more time this weekend,, maybe before.. So.. In short.. New heightmap on the map aswell.. better result.. but have to remake alot of stuff on the Area i had "done" before.. But not as much as i'd thought.. Also now i can have terrain 0,0,0 so can utilize Flatten and Adjust HeightMap for the roads etc in a MUCH MUCH better way.... Easier in the next areas..

So.. Anyone knows how to use blender...?
This i came up with after 1-2 hours xD
Its just the Shell.. so there is no "walls" faces inside etc..

Door and the glass is from Arma.. the Windowframe and the Wooden around the door is self made πŸ™‚

Forgot to make the internal/outer wall and window openings white also.. but...
PBRMulti then i made a Mask with Green,Red,Blue ... Black is like ground walking stone, for the floor..

Well... Figured out a new way to do the textures now.. TO be able to put seperate materials so easier to do the fliparound etc..
Make Material for each Part in blender.. Do a Mask if needed to.. Or split up the model even further..

This gives this in WB.. Means i can make materials for ex for inside, Roof, Outer,, inner, Outerdetail etc.. Seperately.. More fidelity..
Also for some reason.. The Faces are aligned almost "100%" now basically when i make this, meaning stones are facing same direction....

Blender gets easier and Easier πŸ™‚
Material is now seperated for easier and higher fidelity of textures onto the building(s).
Basically "Finished" just adding some levels and ladders in the towers, think i will make the main building without levels for now.

So.
Finally Finished (?) a building for the Map.
A Castle which was kind of lacking in-game so wanted to create it as it is, roughly... The Castle is kind of main event on the Map so.

We'll also see if i make any other crucial buildings for the map.

Used Blender to create 99%, some Gimp stuff for A texture (Inner Floors) and a online tool for ...
