Hola!
Well... Back before the game even released we tinkered around with ideas and requested a SOUND_SHOT_END event. It was implemented but we decided not to use it because it wasn't sample-accurate as it relies on the framerate.

If you're lucky, it might still be in there, just try adding said SOUND_SHOT_END event. Lying in bed already and can't verify right now.

(And if it's still there, don't tell our audio lead 🫠🤣)

I feel like Im doing something wrong. What is the "event" referencing? I couldn't find anything on the bistudio audi editor wiki

Nope. Naming a sound node inside your acp is enough. If that doesn't tell you anything, you might wanna check out the wiki or the recent audio Bootcamp :)
