#I had to break mine down into road types

Are you by chance able to explain this a little more? Apparently one of my ID's have 3,600 roads to place.......
No matter what ID i choose, it makes the same amount of roads too, its like QGIS made all roads duplicated into each ID
I don't use QGIS. I use something else from my job so I'm not as familiar with what QGIS might be doing here. But what I essentially did was broke them down by the ID type and put them into different shp files based on that. That worked well until the dirt roads which had to be broken down further
QGIS allows you to isolate roads based on attribution and then put them into different layers. So that would be one way to do it
