I just made the "Kronques Sound Mod DEV" public and you can find it on the workshop by turning on "Test Mods" in the filters. Please play around with it if you're interested and then come back here with feedback if you have any. Enjoy! (P.S. if you have custom EQ (boosted bass f.ex.) on your headset or speakers, you may find that my mod is very bass heavy and you might want to switch to a flatter profile.)
Keep in mind, the M16 custom sound has been removed for the time being as I'm currently reworking it.
when you shoot the M14 indoors it has a tail reverb like you're shooting it in a valley or something, assume it's unintentional
i like what you did to the RPG sound. one of the only vanilla sounds i find unpleasant and i don't think any of the other sound mods make it any less unpleasant

The mod actually started out purely as a sound mod to alter the LAW and RPG because I also dont like the vanilla sound lol
Not to say the vanilla sounds are bad. They are by far the best they've ever been in the series, just those two I personally don't like

Made some changes to the AK and AKSU, trying to balance the bass somewhat.
I like it. The weapons sound mechanical as if you are hearing the parts moving, rather than just a loud bang as in some other popular sound mods.
Thank you! I decided to really focus on the mid-high end of the sound design in order to differentiate the guns more clearly from each other.
1.0.57 - Added the first pass of the UK59-L. It was mixed on shitty off brand Bluetooth earbuds so I have no clue how it actually sounds. Will work on it more later today when I'm back to my good headphones.

I love your ak sound it’s so much better then the others one imo, no offence to the other guys mods they are great but they don’t have that crisp that yours brings
Got some very valuable feedback from LAxemann. Put out a new update focused on the stereo imaging of all weapons in addition to revising guns like the VZ58, UK59L and AKSU-74. Should sound more consistent now. RPG-7 has also gotten a small update to make the initial firing sound hit harder.
Audio levels are a bit all over the place now due to the stereo imaging. This will be fixed.
Download bug seems to be back, at least for me atm. Can not load the update.

Don't worry, this is the main thing I'm fixing by reworking it. This time around I'm making sure that audio doesn't clip and I'm testing rigorously to ensure sounds don't become a mess of muddy low-end.

Dont get the comparison. SR was an abomination. Distorted shit ripped from Youtube videos played so loud all range cut off.
Different strokes for different folks I suppose. The OG SR in addition to the Lunacy sound mod are definitely very heavy on the bass and distortion. Personally I'm going for something vanilla-esque but with more power without the sounds drowning each other out.
I like lunacy a lot, but it definitely gets exhausting on the ears after some time. I think yours is just perfect

Explosives, impact sounds, bullet cracks, vehicle firing, etc. I will be making sounds for everything! The first version of the mod will only include small arms and launchers, but after that I will start working on explosives.
Not really related to the sound mod, but I made a tiny mod that replaces the firing sound of the FAL from the British Forces mod. Its made to roughly fit in with vanilla sounds (doesn't use custom tails, etc) and it was put together hastily since I needed it for a game session tonight. Feel free to check it out on the workshop by searching for "FAL SRM".

The one that's available now is the one that has always been available. I haven't made anything I've showed off recently public yet. I want to have the AK74, VZ58, M16, LAW and RPG at the very least before I share anything.

I just made the DEV version public under "test mods" on the workshop. Its the one that has this logo. It currently only has WIP versions of the M16, M16 Carbine, AK74, AKSU and VZ58, but Im working on an update right now that will include the SVD, M14, RPK, UZ59L and SAW.
The sounds are top-notch quality, love it. 
This just gets me excited to see the other weapons that you haven’t mentioned yet with their sounds

Just pushed a small update containing the first passes of the M14, SVD, RPK and UZ59L.
Keep in mind that they are only in the first pass, meaning they will get iterated on as I keep working on them.
Pushed a new tiny update containing the first pass of the RPG in addition to some further work on the M14, SVD, RPK and UZ59L. I will also be redoing the tail sound that occurs in hills because the current one is too intrusive.

Like Khaos said, I made the sound for the G3 already. They were made specifically to fit with the vanilla game. I am planning on making alternate sounds for them though to fit them with my own soundmod at some point.
They will require Kronques Soundmod as a dependacy though since Ill be using my own samples etc.

I actually had it removed, no leftovers in the files either. Just shows up in Disabled as updatable when subscribing but trying to update will lead to this, same as when subscribing
Figured it might've not been doing this anymore cause it wasn't just now but it appears as Disabled after a restart

Yes, they, along with suppressed weapons are next on the list.
Also, I should say, launchers will be getting an overhaul at some point, probably with the explosives update. They are currently using samples from old pirate cannons currently lol

I've been playing the new Battlefield for a couple of days now and decided to try my hand at making a battlefield-esque sound for the ARMA-RY G3. Wondering if there would be any interest for something like that as Ive been struggling with what to do with this mod 🤔

A little teaser of what I'm working on. I'm currently redoing the whole mod from the bottom up. No clue when it'll be out, but hopefully a version with small arms in not too long (couple of months maybe). I'm making some changes to how sounds are handled (for example by removing env layers entirely and changing how the body layer behaves at different ranges) to get closer to my own preferences. Thinking about making this a separate mod since some might enjoy the older sound mod more.
Should mention, the clicking after each shot is not intended. I just haven't gotten around to remove it lol

At some point, yes. All weapon sounds and sounds related to them though for now my only focus is on small arms.
I like the M14 but I still think the old 74 is more satisfying.

Managed to get something very cool working with minimal effect on the mod size. Every single gun now has a unique tail and mid-far body which simply put means that even guns of a similar caliber (AK74 & M16) will now have a unique sound at mid-far distances (vanilla does not have this). Will show it off soon and talk about it in a bit more detail!

This mod will eventually include everything. Guns, launchers, explosions, supersonic bullet cracks, etc. First release will just be guns however.
A short look at some WIP sounds for the VZ58, AK74 and M16A2. Includes my homebrewed solution for unique tails for each gun + more. Mix is not final.
Short video showcasing some of the WIP sounds for close, mid and far gunshots. Everything is still being tweaked, but it should give you a rough idea of what I'm working on. I'm aiming to create a varied soundscape across all distances and to do so with as little effect on the mod size as possible. Similar to vanilla, my mod contains "generic" tails that are shared between weapons, but on top of those, each gun now has an additional tail unique to each weapon mixed in. There are some other changes and additions, but Ill hold off on talking about those until I'm 100% sure things work as intended.

Yup, still being tweaked. One of the changes is that midrange samples now kick in much sooner than in vanilla and thus need to have their volume rebalanced for it.
Should also mention that it the camera looks closer than it is. I recored using armavision with the camera zoomed in quite a bit.
oh, that is a good hint. That is for sure a thing to consider. Maybe keep a more normal view for your next demo 😄
Next demo will probably be playable so you can test it using whatever view you want yourself

Will be releasing a first version of the mod on the 31st (or before)! Its going to be unfinished and in a rough state, but I want to get something out there so people can test it out and give some feedback. Its going to be called "Kronques Warscapes" and it will be a separate mod from "Kronques Soundmod" in case anyone prefers that one.
Also, WIP bullet cracks.

AK74 and AK74U suppressed. Bonus at the end of the AK74U clip where you can hear some custom ricochet sounds.
Most weapons now have sounds except for the SVD and M60. M14, PKM and M249 needs a bit more work. Pistols are on the backburner.

Yes, it's on the workshop; there are two versions, one from the modder and the other compatible with RHS.
Not the same mod. I'm releasing this as a new mod called "Kronques Warscapes" so people can still use the old one if they prefer that.
Gameplay with the mod
Just a short video showing off how some of the sounds during gameplay. M16A1 is from the "ARMA-RY M16 EARLY RIFLES" mod. Everything is WIP.
Released now. Its still in a very rough state. Some weapons like the SVD still doesn't have custom sounds while other weapons like the M14 have custom sounds but are unfinished. Will continue to work on it in the coming days.

First small feedback, i really like the unsilenced AKs, when you got shot at! I am playing a lot CO Kolguyev and the silenced m16 feels a little bit to loud. I mean, i do not have the feeling that i am quieter when shooting, even so i like the more mechanical touch to it. Great work and i am sure this will be even better in the future.

Really enjoying these sounds! However some feedback, after a very short distant gunshots feel VERY quiet. Forests, field, urban etc. a firefight could be happening right next to you, and you could blush it off. 😅

Just added sounds for the UK59L and a rework of the M21.
Btw, if you download the latest update you might notice that guns are slightly less punchy/bassy. This is intended and likely temporary while I test some things.
Also ARMA-RY M1911 for upcoming compat pack (this is high-priority for me since i play alot of freedom fighters with my friends using ARMA-RY lol)

Currently doing alot of testing and experimenting. Since I'm using the M16 and AK74 as testing grounds, you should expect that those two in particular might change wildly between updates (sometimes for the worse). Meanwhile, enjoy a look(listen?) at the ARMA-RY M14 full auto!
Early WIP of the RPG7 along with custom rocket travelling sounds. Still needs a custom rocket ignition sound.
Made some progress on the RPG7. Rocket ignition and travelling sounds still need alot more work.
Made a small, but very exciting (for me anyways lol) change to how semi and full-auto sound is handled. Will be posting a video and explaining it in some detail in a day or so once I have it dialed in and I know it works correctly. Stay tuned!

Hello! Warscapes is the newest soundmod. "Kronques Soundmod" is my first attempt at sound modding and now heavily outdated. I've kept it up in case anyone preferred it.

You would have to choose one or the other, but Warscapes doesn't have any compatibility packs yet so RHS etc are not supported. "Kronques Soundmod" however does have an unofficial compat for RHS.
Unfortunately not. I barely have any time to mod these days because of real life stuff. I'm hoping to get back into it at some point, but for now I'm doing some work on overhauling the sounds for some of Muffs weapons (though that too is going extremely slowly because of little free time).
I really like play my IPC scenarios with your sound mod.
