wiggly trenches will be 8KM long. But IF you would stretch them out in a completely straight line. it would be much more

The map is basically a small bit of a very large battlefield in a war thats been going on for like 10 years.
Some stuff is overgrown. most stuff is destroyed or abandoned

Trench 8 has been built and forested. No dressing yet. I will start working on the towns, farms, industrial zones asap.

Green sandbags on one side. Burlap on the other, so people can orient themselves as soon as they hit a trench system.
Very cool idea will definitely appreciate that playing with the random morons on conflict

Doing the main sandbagging and wooden floors and bunkers and dugouts for the horizontal 4KM of trenches first. Then I will start on horizontal again. And then maybe playtest version 0.2

180 hours in. 1KM of trench system has been sandbagged and duckboarded and hesco bagged. Bunkers are in, camonets are in. Sticking with this style of the south side of the map.
North will have Burlap sandbags so people can more easily orient themselves on the map without having to press M.
Burlap bags is north, Plastic bags is south.

Come a long way. 240 hours into the map now. PUBLIC playtest will be done in a couple weeks for sure. Till then, keep your eyes open.

Hard to say, still a lot of work to be done. Right now working on the gamemode. Custom server is up and running tho if you wanna see it and have a run around. Scroll up, you will see it

Redoing the trenches so there are networks everywhere and not just lines on a map.
Center of the trenches will most likely be points of interest like mortar setups or maybe things like entrenched Himars type artillery or rockets etc.

A competitive league some communities are trying to start for the new year.
My map wont even be nearly done, but the residential zones are playable. industrial and farmlands too. The rest is barren since all my trench mods broke with 1.6
So now im handmaking all trenches

You wouldn't have an updated version with the trenches and stuff anytime soon as we're using the map for the competitive league, We all have been enjoying it on our tests but will have to version lock it once it starts mid jan
Im in contact with untugs. And a BUNCH of other people to. I am trying to cater to everyone requests but there is a limit to that... because of it tho, ive been spreading my attention across 5 diff areas all at once. I told untugs to lock the current version to the server and when i have all trenches done, to update. I understand people wanna play trenches a lot so i set up my own server that only focusses on the trench systems and south side of map. 69th motorized dingus division server. Only 4GB total, give it look if you want. As for "when is X done"?
I dont know. Im not gonna give timeframes since i cant predict evrything. I am however fully gonna focus on finishing the trenches first before anything else. Spoke to untugs and others about preferred filiage and styles and layouts. I think you will all be happy in the ekd with the result. If you have any feedback tho, as always, im all ears brother...
