A few people have reached out asking me what I was working on after posting some screenshots of a map project I was working on, while originally I only started this project as a test and to learn the new mapping tools in enfusion, myself and others have decided to fully commit to creating something amazing for the RP community. We originally started this project on Arma 3 but with the advancements of the enfusion engine, we have started the process of moving all of our assets and creations to the new engine, which is definitely a process on our part as we relearn almost everything and transition to enfusion but so far this has been fairly easy honestly.
The Map, Bridgeport, a fictional location we originally created a year ago for Arma 3, heavily inspired by the northwest region of the United States, will be an environment built with realism as a priority, including lakes, mountains and large forest regions. Most towns and urban locations on the terrain will be small and remote but we do plan on creating one large metropolitan location within the center region of the map that will include larger buildings and urban infrastructure.
The design and feel of the server/mod will heavily rely on realism and accuracy of the real world, obviously adhering to copyright restrictions with rebranding. We plan to create the majority of our assets from scratch, this includes, terrain objects, buildings and other minor 3D creations, while we plan to also use some default map objects such as vegetation, we plan to limit ourselves on the use of default objects to best give the players a more immersive experience. Vehicles/clothing we plan to purchase through licensing but are looking into the possibility of inhouse creations in the future as we develop and progress our skillset in 3D work.
The timeframe of the project is unknown at this time, as we relearn the development process for enfusion and build a workflow that works.
With that, thank you for taking the time to read about our project, I will be updating this thread periodically with progress on development and include our discord for people that are more interested in the project. We are always looking for help from the community with development or other opportunities located on our discord.
