btw you should be careful with making a Dayz like mod, it will probably get nuked. But only when you spent like months and thousands of hours making it. just talk to BI about it before you go all in.

This looks very interesting, keep up the great work. And they’re saying be careful because the Chernarus Reforged map got removed because it was, to best I understand, using the DayZ height map essentially. There is a posting in the maps channel, I’ll try and find it, explaining DayZ assets, or those that have strong resemblance to it, aren’t allowed. So just be careful saying “DayZ reforger” or naming it DatZ.

#1114173670642954341 message this is what I’m referencing. You could also look up the showcase for Wolfs Building Pack and Chernarus Reforged. Both have since been locked. The map is removed and he was working on it for a year and half I think. The building pack mod is still up, because they aren’t DayZ assets, but they did have a temporary ban couple weeks ago in that building pack and since lifted it.

I’m not a lawyer lol, but yeah just be careful. It was a wake up call to me because I was using his building pack, along with a ton of other people. And I’m sure there’s a huge DayZ community inside reforger. It’s just its own copy rights or whatever you want to call it. Some stuff from other arma titles are allowed, but someone else can explain it better. The models you posted look great. In my personal map I’m going for more of a survival feel too. But essentially my goal is to release a “war just started” with not much detail terrain so it can be played on console (hopefully) then release a modded version of map with a scenario of a survival type of feel to it. So people can still play it as scenario, conflict, or game master without survival touches or with it too.
