Cool map! Maybe consider adding some patches of phragmites to the swampy areas. It feels like they are missing something : )

Also some deeper patches in the swamp would be nice, so there is a risk with drowning your car, while trying to cross it.

Thanks baltic, much appreciated! I've sorted the phragmites layer so will get that updated in the next hour or so (will give you a shoutout in the update log πŸ™‚ )

Another great idea with the deeper patches, this will require a bit more work as I'll need to redo the topology and map but think it would be great to have the odd 'sinkhole' and deeper waters dotted around - Will keep that in mind for future updates πŸ™Œ

Hi, great map! My group digs it a lot. We haven't explored it much but I did want to report this issue with the church ruins at Starovodino. The southeastern corner of the church ruins at certain angles has this strange z-fighting/mesh issue thing. It only appears for a few moments but it's very noticable on both PS5 and PC.

No problem! Also wanted to report we had a myriad of crashes last night while playing on the map with RHS and WCS mods. I'm still trying to figure out if I can replicate it without the RHS/WCS mods active but we experienced a lot of crashes anytime a player or an AI used an explosive weapon (GL or RPG). Each error was an illegal memory read error

Damn thats not good! Need the terrain to work with those mods seeing as every man and his dog, including me, uses them!

If it happens again, if youd be so kind to grab a screenshot of the specific error and ill see what I can do troubleshoot it! @silver wave

Will do! Still doing some tests on my end to see if a different mod was causing problems or not.

Had a quick look at the terrain, I think it looks pretty good.
Here's some suggestions:

  • IMO it does not make sense to have 1.8GB + 0.6GB worth of building asset dependencies when the terrain only has two tiny building groups. You might as well use vanilla assets for these, and then not require players to download as much other stuff.
  • The heightmap has no micro terrain. While swamps tend to be pretty flat, there should at least be small local height variations - right now the terrain is pretty much exactly even.
  • You're using an EnvironmentProbeEntity with just Global Placed enabled, consider switching to the EnvProbe_Default prefab which comes with improved settings out of the box.
  • The sheds you placed at the sawmill are GenericEntities with just a MeshObj, you probably dragged in an XOB instead of the prefab. This means they lack collisions.
  • The ingame map has different colors than it should have, this is because you forgot to set the colorspace and reimport.
    But apart from that good job, as I said it's a pretty nice looking swamp.
