We intend the mod to be used with https://discordapp.com/channels/105462288051380224/1283797100462870630, but it should be good to use in any of the desert maps.
Love the fact it adds more than just the takistan army, great mod man!!
After fixing some of the stuff in the army we are going to add more stuff for the insurgents and civilians
I see what you mean about some of the textures a lil bit, for sure see the tops turning white after death for some. What other fixes were you talking about?

We haven't fully tested everything, so I gotta edit some config stuff and I wanted to change some of the textures now that I figured out how to color them and import them into the game correctly

Great mod with good content, however, the huey seems to have far too bright camo.

I was having all sorts of trouble with that one because it doesn't natively have a camo pattern. I'll be fixing that one tonight.
Also, the MI8's might have an issue where they don't have a missle pod setup on the attack helicopter versions. If that is the case, don't use them for right now until I figure out which mod is causing issues.
I'll be retexturing the mi-24 tonight now that I have gotten permission from the mod owner
Currently I am changing the rest of the codenames for the bases and then I think I am going to sleep

Okay, figured out the mi8 issue, I must of been loading in an old dependency that was causing issues only on my side. I am going to add a few extra MI8 variants while im at it

I'm sorry, I cannot. It's likely a mod conflict, though idk what. Though you might wanna look at making sure it's compatible with mods like Reforged Army Studios' Mods. And also make sure that it the Factions configured in some weird spaghetti fashion.
I know I couldn't find the arsenal for vanilla or ussr, and Fia, just saw Takistan and Takistan militia. I could still change those arsenals into those Factions though, so I wasn't fully tripping about it.
Update is out that fixes that issue
Started to work on getting config files setup for conflict as well, but my first priority is getting textures fixed. I did add the BTR40, t35, and t55
Apparently there was a btr40 of bmp1 in arma 2 that acted as a mobile hospital, so I might make a variant that comes with med supplies like the ambulance
I'd like to report the Soviet Arsenal is still bugged, stuff from WZ Uniforms is missing like the Telnyashka, and the TOS-1 is also missing

thanks for letting me know. i'll un-disable it in the next update. i tried to disable things that weren't from the late 80s/early 90s and went a little too overboard.

Well, apparently the BTR40 is going to get updated soonish, so, I will hold off on messing with the model and just do a retexture for the one we have currently
I like how complete you are making it, the problem I see is that the total to download is too many Gb for only two current factions.
In all fairness people downloading this mod likely have alot of the listed mods here installed already
I’m planning on splitting the mod up to a smaller core pack, then an additional two that add more modded vehicles and gear
Since the release for PS5, I have also been thinking about separating the faces of ToH RC by ethnicity.
They are no longer just the download, but also the maximum capacity of space on PS5.
But it has a bad solution in the end because some factions are multicultural.
Eventually we will also have a takistani building mod that gives you all of the buildings and stuff needed for conflict
I had some of them in the factions mod, but we learned I did them the wrong way, so I am going to redo it eventually
Found out how to get the files for the BTR40 from A2, so now I have the texture BI made for takistan. Going to do some clean up on it now
Ngl, you two are currently my favorite modders, I am a sucker for good faction mods
Going to love the fact that I just found the t55, t34, and t72 textures for takistan as well
also, found all the files for the KSVK, so we might be able to have another sniper rifle from arma 2 if I can figure out how to mod a weapon
Gotta try to find the texture for the cannon and commander turret on this thing, but its looking better
for the quality of the textures I recommend you to use this program, you multiply x2 and you gain in sharpness and detail.

What I do recommend is that you use the original MNO and add the Routghness of Reforger to the BCR of ArmA2.

We’re planning an update hopefully over the weekend with some fixes and tweaks, then going to reorganize the mod into one main one with a few essential dependencies, and move the majority of the modded vehicles, guns, etc into Takistani Vehicles and Takistani Uniforms. That way you guys can use the core of the mod with less dependencies.
I'm moving stuff into my new room, so have been busy, but should be back on the mod grind this week

WZ vehicles (already a dependency) has SPG-9 mounts too.
update is out which reduces the number of dependencies on the main mod to 7 and about 2GB, 1.2GB of which is character faces/bodies. It sounds like @ashen island is working on a smaller Takistani specific ethnicity pack which hopefully will further reduce dependency size in the future

Yes @viscid pecan, I am making the faces that appear in A2OA from the Takistani people and it will be a standalone package, here you will only need the Core and Persian.
I guess it will be around 400Mb between the two mods.

Takistani Vehicles is hiding quite a lot of vehicles from WZ Tanks, WZ Vehicles, the T-72 and BMP-1 vehicle mods that otherwise should probably be visible; for instance it cuts out a lot of the miscellaneous vehicles from WZ Tanks/Vehicles, but it's also hiding the desert tan and FIA desert camouflaged variants of the BMP-1. Desert T-72 and all T-72Bs from the T-72 mod are also being hidden. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not but it's not very immersive to use only Soviet green vehicles for Takistani armor

We were working on takistani camo for those vehicles, I assume that's why they are hidden currently, but sabersnack can look when he gets a chance
tracking, it struck me as odd because enabling Takistani Vehicles also hides a lot of other vehicles that I can't imagine why it would; like it hides machine gun and unarmed variants of the Yoyota Kilux and Land Rover Offender from WZ Vehicles, and a lot of US-tagged armored vehicles from WZ Tanks. I won't drop the whole list of everything it hides unless y'all really want me to, but it's an unusual amount of vehicles in exchange for the BM-21

a lot of things are, we are waiting for a few of the dependencies to be updated, but we have fixed things on our end.

yep, looks like LAV Life non-MANW edition mysteriously disappeared from the workshop. replaced it with MANW edition. hopefully there aren't any imporatnt improvements/bugfixes missing in the MANW edition
TandemHEAT has a new mod called WZ weapons, it has all the gear the takistan army uses (FAL, AKs, RPKs, etc). It's only 200 mb and it would be a good replace for Chungus's weapons.

We noticed a few odd issues caused by 1.6 with the ural and uaz textures, so I am starting to go back and fix a bunch of stuff. We may be changing the colors of the lizard camo to match the vehicles better:

Has anyone had the issue were when using BLE it doesn't let you edit your load out if you have this mod on? Have used it without this and it works
Not a fan of BLE so I don’t really use it but I can look into it
It has something to do with faction recognition. We run grs as our plate carrier and it needs BLE to be modular. If you can't fix it no problem.

oh is there a GAZ66 mod now? i haven't seen that yet. i think the Mi-24 is on the to do list, but haven't gotten to it yet
it's playable, but the 1.6 update broke all our UAZ and Ural textures. we're working on them
@viscid pecan I think there might also be an issue with the BM-21 dependency, I get a script complication error when the vehicles pack is loaded
It's not the bm-21 we run it on our server and it works

the BM-21 does have a compile error, but for some reason it doesn't crash my server or cause the whole compile to fail in workbench. let me know if your server is having trouble running the vehicles mod. i also tried loading in GM in singleplayer and that was fine too

would you ever do a Chernorussian faction (CDF, NAPA, CHDKZ) There aren't really any mods that add retextures for a lot of the vehicle mods used. Great Work nonetheless!

both of those are still WIP and/or require RHS
some issues I've noticed with the Vehicles update;
- Mi-24 does not appear in Takistani livery even with Takistani Vehicles Full enabled
- Takistani T-72 stowage bins and smoke dischargers are too bright (I think the default tan texture on SpaceStrider's T-72 is still showing)
- M880 PKM's machine gun is too high
tested only with relevant dependencies for Takistani factions and Takistan map

Yeah, I'll take one when I get home. When spawned in the PKM floats about a good meter and a half from the truck bed

i don't think this happened with the .50 cal variant that used to be in but i don't recall for sure

I'm starting to think the issue is less with anything you've specifically done and something on the core M880 mod's side. same thing's happening with the FIA variant with a PKM
i was able to reproduce it and yeah it's a problem with the M880 in the M880 mod. there's gotta be a way to fix it though
and of course now i have to report that with the way Gantelya has renamed and divided the BM-21 and its rocket variants, now the BM-21 isn't showing up in the mod 😄 (i've just started rebuilding my group's Takistan campaign so i'm only now noticing all these)
yeah i removed the BM-21 because they got rid of the standalone mod. i'm not going to add a 2+ GB depedency for a single vehicle
very valid, it's still listed on the full vehicles mod which is what tripped me up
oh gotcha. i'll double check that the dependency is removed
think i'm close to a fix for the M880 PKM, but noticed some of the other vehicles have problems with their turrets too. looking into it
